Ukraine is already working on additional agreements regarding fuel supply, including plans to cooperate with partners in the Middle East, said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UNIAN reports.
“The most problematic fuel is diesel; the situation with gasoline is relatively better. Officials, suppliers, and state companies are using agreements with the market and support mechanisms to maintain prices so that they do not rise sharply,” he said.
Zelenskyy also commented on US Vice President Vance’s remark about “ haggling over a few square kilometres of territory,” stressing that it is not about “a piece of land.”
According to Zelenskyy, such assessments mean a failure to understand the real value of Ukrainian land.
“These territories are of strategic importance, fortified from a defense standpoint, and remain home to hundreds of thousands of people,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
He added that the occupation of these areas is not a symbolic outcome for Russia, but a starting point for future offensives.
