Work is ongoing with partners to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.
"I spoke with the military. They reported on the frontlines and our operations. I am grateful to all our warriors for their resilience," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that active work is underway on new weapons deliveries, increased domestic production in Ukraine, and better supplies for the Ukrainian army. He said there are already positive agreements with partners, and more are expected.
"We will continue working on this in the coming weeks. It is important to implement each agreement as quickly as possible so that it is felt that there are more forces, more resources, more air defense, more air defense systems. This is a key priority," the President emphasized.
Zelenskyy also mentioned political signals of the highest level from the United States and European partners.
“We have political signals of the highest level - good signals, including from the United States and our European friends. According to all reports, deliveries have resumed," Zelenskyy said.
He also announced further coordination with the American side: "We will continue working next week with the American side at the military level, including our military with General Kellogg."
The President added that new defense packages from EU countries are being prepared. Additionally, "strong steps" regarding new sanctions against Russia are expected soon.
"Pressure must work," Zelenskyy stressed.
