Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump are discussing a deal that would involve Ukraine purchasing American weapons in exchange for selling Ukrainian drones, said Zelenskyy in an interview with The New York Post, APA reports.
According to Zelenskyy, during his most recent conversation with Trump, they discussed an agreement under which the United States and Ukraine would support each other in the field of aviation technology.
He noted that this deal could allow Ukraine to buy certain American weapons, although the details of the arrangement remain unclear for now.
"The people of America need this technology, and you need to have it in your arsenal. I think this is really a mega deal, a win-win, as they say," Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that Ukraine is ready to share its expertise in unmanned aerial technologies "with America and other European partners," mentioning Denmark, Norway, and Germany.
