Baku-APA. On August 5, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II sent a letter to Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, urging him to make an effort to preserve the ceasefire on the frontline.
In a letter to Catholicos of All Armenians notes that a violation of the ceasefire is a serious threat for the vulnerable peace, which was achieved on a high price, APA reports quoting Novosti-Armenia.
"We are deeply concerned about the strained situation that soldiers are killed, peaceful life of the border population are disturbed. Human life is sacred, right to it is holy and provocations against human life are not allowed. Military action can not be an alternative to a peaceful settlement of the Nagrono Karabakh conflict,"the statement says.
