PM Kvirikashvili: Ethnic minorities in Georgia should be informed about benefits of NATO integration

It is necessary to inform the ethnic minorities living Georgia about the benefits that the country receives in the process of NATO integration, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at today’s Cabinet meeting, APA’s local bureau reports.

“NATO Days launched on April 16 and it will last until May 1 in Georgia. These events are held annually and are very important in terms of awareness of the population. This year these days are especially marked in regions, and it is of immense importance that in the regions, which are populated by ethnic minorities. The Information Center on NATO and the European Union together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other agencies holds many events in order to provide our citizens with relevant information about the benefits that our country receives in the process of NATO integration,” PM Kvirikashvili added.

The first meeting within the framework of the NATO Days took place with the participation of Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze in the Marneuli region, densely populated by Azerbaijanis.
