PKK terrorists kidnap 2 girls in southeastern Turkey

Baku-APA. Rebels of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) have kidnapped two girls in Hakkari province in southeastern Turkey, private Dogan news agency reported on Wednesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

A group of PKK terrorists kidnapped the two girls, 16 and 14, in Yuksekova town of Hakkari province, according to the report.

The Turkish security forces have launched an operation in the region to rescue the kidnapped girls, the report said.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist group by Turkey and other countries, took up arms in 1984 to create an ethnic homeland for the Kurds in southeastern Turkey. More than 40,000 people have been killed by PKK.
