The United States will allocate $500 million for infrastructure development at military bases in Poland, announced Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk, APA reports.
"The United States government has approved an investment plan of over $500 million for four bases in Poland - in Drawsko Pomorskie, Powidz, Wroclaw and Lask," Tomczyk wrote in X.
Polish authorities have pledged to spend $250 million annually until 2035 on American military facilities in the country.
There are currently over 10,000 American troops stationed in Poland. The United States doubled its military contingent in February 2022, up from 5,000 troops previously.
