Ukraine has handed over its memorandum to the Russian side. Russia now has at least four days to submit its document with proposals for a ceasefire to Kyiv, according to a statement from Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.
Rustem Umerov said he has already handed the document reflecting Ukraine’s position on a ceasefire to the head of the Russian delegation.
"They received this document. We reaffirm Ukraine’s readiness for a full and unconditional ceasefire and continued diplomatic engagement. We are not opposed to further meetings with the Russians and are awaiting their “memorandum,” so that the meeting won’t be empty and can truly move us closer to ending the war," he noted.
The minister emphasized that the Russian side now has at least four more days to submit its proposals to Ukraine.
"The Russian side has at least four more days before their departure to provide us with their document for review," the minister said.
