Türkiye supplied Ukraine with a small number of Korkut air defense systems at the beginning of the year.
Middle East Eye (MEE) reported this, citing sources familiar with the situation.
According to the report, Ukraine used the Korkut systems to strengthen its air defense capabilities and conduct tests.
The sources did not disclose how many Korkut systems had been deployed on the battlefield.
A Ukrainian official said the Korkut systems had been tested under combat conditions and noted that Kyiv was interested in purchasing more of these systems.
A standard Korkut system consists of three weapon system vehicles and one command and control vehicle. Manufactured by Turkish defense company Aselsan, Korkut is designed to destroy aerial targets, including cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The system is also capable of countering FPV drones and fiber-optic-controlled drones using 25-mm ammunition.
