"There is a need to establish a fair and inclusive global governance mechanism to overcome the crisis of mistrust in the international arena," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the opening plenary session of the 6th Summit of the European Political Community, APA reports.
He said the European Union’s efforts to develop its defense industry are beneficial, but emphasized that these efforts should not undermine NATO’s central role and should also include non-EU countries.
Erdoğan also stated that the EU should reconsider the implementation of the Schengen visa policy with Türkiye. He underlined that Türkiye plays a significant role in ensuring Europe’s energy supply.
