Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has protested against the opening of representation offices of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization in Geneva, APA’s local bureau reports citing the Turkish MFA.
In connection with the opening of the PKK / YPG representation of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria ", the ministry summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the Swiss Embassy in Ankara and asked for an explanation. In this regard, it was noted that the Swiss authorities had also previously taken the initiative, and it was stated that it is unacceptable to legalize terrorist activities in the name of associations or non-governmental organizations of this terrorist organization or its affiliated groups.
The statement stressed that no distinction should be made between terrorist organizations in the fight against terrorism: “We remind those who embrace terrorists until they become targets of terrorist organizations that one day this tragedy will be a problem for them as well," he said. Our country will resolutely continue its fight against the PKK and its affiliated groups, recognized by the European Union as a terrorist organization, everywhere and at all times”, noted.
