Russian forces struck Ukrainian military-related targets in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian facilities over the past week, Russia's Defense Ministry said Friday, APA reports, citing Xinhua.
From Sunday to Friday, Russian forces conducted one large-scale strike and six coordinated group strikes using high-precision armaments, including the Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles, it said.
The strikes neutralized a range of key targets across Ukraine, including military-industrial enterprises, energy facilities supporting their operations, and transport and port infrastructure backing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the ministry said.
The ministry further said that Russian forces downed a Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 fighter aircraft this week, noting that six guided aerial bombs, two Grom tactical missiles, three U.S.-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, and 1,662 fixed-wing drones were also destroyed during the period.
