"The joint statement on the results of the US-Russia talks held in Riyadh yesterday was not adopted due to 'Ukraine's position'", said Vladimir Chizhov, Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Federation Council of Russia, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, the Russian and US delegations had agreed on the final joint statement of the talks held in Riyadh:
"They sat for 12 hours and seemed to have agreed on the joint statement, but it was not adopted due to Ukraine's position. This is quite characteristic and symptomatic."
