Angela Merkel will take a pension of around 15,000 euros a month once she leaves the Chancellery, after the September elections, APA reports citing Time News.
The calculation was carried out by the Association of German Taxpayers, taking into account for the 67-year-old Merkel the many years she spent as a parliamentarian, as a federal minister and as a chancellor.
Like all former German chancellors and presidents, Merkel will be entitled to an office when she leaves her post, as well as a chief of staff, two assistants, a stenographer, and a driver.
