"Military operations against Hamas will continue until the hostages are freed and the organization abandons its intention to threaten our country", said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, APA reports, citing The Jerusalem Post.
He also clarified that the military activity is not directed against the civilian population living in the Gaza Strip:
"Unfortunately, Hamas hides among civilians and fires from within them, leading to severe casualties. Therefore, we once again urge residents to leave the area of military operations."
