"Our doors are open to countries willing to cooperate with us for joint production of our national fighter jets. We are talking about this issue with countries such as Azerbaijan and Pakistan, and we are proposing to join our power," said Ismail Demir, director of the Defense Industry Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration in an interview with CNN-Turk, APA's local bureau reports.

Ismayil Demir added that Turkey supports the initiative to use countries with experience, knowledge and skills in the field of aviation and defense industry: “Of course, each country has its own skills and abilities. We will continue to develop these steps with the countries where we have received positive responses, and we believe that these steps will yield positive results. "

It should be noted that the Turkish company TUSAS (Aviation and Space Industry A.Ş.) has signed a contract with the British company BAE Systems for the production of the fifth generation, long-range, fully electronic and modern radar systems.

The first flight of national fighter jets is scheduled for 2025.
