Head of Security Service of Ukraine reveals details of "Pautina" operation

As a result of the drone strikes, 41 aircraft were shot down, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3 and Tu-160, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Vasily Malyuk said, APA reports, citing UNIAN.

The head of the Security Service of Ukraine headed the working group that prepared the special operation "Pautina" for more than a year and a half.

Logistics and the transfer of drone deployment into Russian territory

According to Malyuk, the special operation "Pautina" took place simultaneously in three time zones and was very complicated from a logistical point of view: "Thus, the Security Service of Ukraine first sent FPV drones to Russia, and then mobile wooden houses were brought. The drones were already hidden under the roofs of these houses, loaded onto cargo trucks within Russian territory. When the necessary moment came, the roofs of the houses were opened by remote control and the drones flew to destroy the Russian bombers."

Selection of targets and purpose of attacks

He emphasized that the targets were completely legitimate - military airfields and planes bombing peaceful cities of Ukraine.

“Therefore, we are carrying out a real disarmament of the Russian Federation, because we are destroying military targets. Our strikes will continue as long as the Russian Federation continues to terrorize Ukrainians with missiles and “Shaheds”, - added Malyuk.

Strategic strike on Russian aviation

He noted that the drones immediately worked on targets at 4 military airfields of the Russian Federation - “Belaya”, “Dyagilevo”, “Olenya” and “Ivanovo”, and thanks to the plan, it was possible to hit most of the enemy aircraft at the same time: “In general, we are talking about the destruction of 34% of strategic carriers of cruise missiles at the main airfields of the Russian Federation. This is not just a crushing blow to enemy aviation, but a serious blow to the power and terrorist essence of the Russian Federation.”

Financial losses and the impact of the operation

According to him, the cost of the enemy’s downed strategic aviation is more than $ 7 billion. He thanked all the servicemen who participated in this historic operation, emphasizing that all participants in the operation have been in Ukraine for a long time:

“The enemy thought that he could bomb Ukraine with impunity forever and kill Ukrainians, but this is not the case. We will respond to Russian terror and destroy the enemy everywhere - at sea, in the air, and on the ground. If necessary, we will also get out of the ground.”

Malyuk said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy set the task of destroying enemy bombers and personally supervised the progress of the special operation.
