Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has withdrawn the lawsuit filed with the Constitutional Court regarding the repeal of the "Transparency of Foreign Influence" law, previously initiated by former President Salome Zurabishvili, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports, citing Georgian Presidential Administration.

"The "Transparency of Foreign Influence" law in Georgia is based on transparency and accountability, which contributes to protecting the most important principle of Georgian statehood—national sovereignty and the stable development of the country. The law aims to inform the public as much as possible about the financial sources of organizations promoting the interests of foreign powers. Accordingly, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has decided to withdraw the constitutional lawsuit", the presidential administration's statement said.
