The Parliament of Georgia has adopted the "Foreign Agents" law, which is reported to be a translation of the FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act) law in effect in the USA, in its third and final reading, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
According to the report, during the voting held in the plenary session, 86 MPs voted in favor of the law, and no votes were recorded against it.
Note that the Parliament of Georgia consists solely of members of the ruling Georgian Dream party and the pro-government Power of the People movement. The parliamentary opposition has refused to participate in the work of the legislative body.
