The 18th package of sanctions adopted by the European Union against the Russian Federation has come into force, APA reports citing the official journal of the EU.
The new package reduces the price ceiling for Russian oil to $47.6 per barrel. At the same time, restrictions have been imposed on 105 tankers carrying oil. Any financial transactions related to the Nord Stream gas pipeline are completely prohibited.
22 more Russian banks have been added to the sanctions list. In addition, a complete ban on financial transactions with all Russian financial institutions subject to EU sanctions has been imposed. The package also includes export restrictions and additional legal entities and individuals to the sanctions list.
