European allies and Canada have already allocated $2 billion worth of funds for Kyiv to buy weapons from the United States, APA reports.
It was announced during a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels today.
Two new NATO members, Finland and Sweden, also said today that they will buy more weapons from the United States to give to Ukraine.
According to the Associated Press, over the summer, NATO began coordinating regular deliveries of large arms packages to Ukraine in its fight against Russia's war. The goal is to send military support worth about $500 million at least once a month.
Europe's arsenals are almost exhausted, and NATO diplomats said that the United States currently has $10-12 billion worth of weapons, air defense systems, and ammunition that could be given to Ukraine.
