The majority of EU member states support the proposal to reconsider relations with Israel due to its attacks on Gaza, said the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, APA reports.
Speaking to the press following the Defence session of the EU Foreign Affairs Council held in Brussels with the participation of the foreign ministers of EU member states, Kallas said: "The situation in Gaza is disastrous. The aid allowed by Israel is, of course, welcomed, but it is a drop in the ocean. Aid must flow immediately, without obstacles, and on a large scale. This is necessary. Today's discussions make it clear that there is strong majority support for the demand to reconsider Article 2 of our Association Agreement with Israel. We will start this review process, and during this process, Israel’s responsibility is to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. Saving human lives must be our top priority."
