European Union foreign ministers have failed to reach an agreement on a 40 billion euro aid package for Ukraine, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas said during the press conference following European Council on Foreign Relations, APA reports.
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas addressed the urgency of finalizing the new aid package for Ukraine, emphasizing the broad political support for the initiative and the necessity of swift action, while acknowledging the detailed work required, including input from defense ministers.
"There's broad political support that initiative, which is good., But there's a lot of details that need to be worked out. Because there are also defense ministers that need to have a say and we have a meeting of defence ministers. The Council said that we need to move swiftly and that is what we are doing," - she concluded.
