EU ambassadors have reached an agreement on the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, APA reports citing AFP.
Note that the EU foreign ministers were unable to adopt the 18th sanctions package against Russia on June 15.
The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, stated that the sanctions were once again blocked by Slovakia.
"We were very close, but unfortunately, we could not formally approve the 18th package of sanctions against Russia. Slovakia refused," Kallas said.
