"We are pleased that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) received observer status in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)," the President of the TRNC Ersin Tatar said during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA's Türkiye correspondent reports.
He also noted that Türkiye is a guarantor country for the TRNC.
According to him, there are two nations and two states on the island of Cyprus, and for this reason, it is necessary to establish a joint committee to solve the problems between the two states.
