The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of China in Kyiv due to the capture of two citizens of this country who fought in the Russian army, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha said on X, APA reports, citing UNN.
He pointed out that the participation of Chinese citizens in the Russian army casts doubt on the declared position of the Chinese side regarding peace.
"The participation of Chinese citizens in the Russian invasion army in Ukraine casts doubt on China's declared position on peace and undermines confidence in Beijing as a responsible permanent member of the UN Security Council," said Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.
