In recent days, 27 foreigners have been found to be residing in Georgia without legal grounds, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The individuals, who are citizens of India, Iraq, Egypt, Bangladesh, China, Cameroon, Azerbaijan, Angola, Ghana, Pakistan, and Turkey, have been expelled from Georgia. In accordance with local legislation, their re-entry into the country has been banned.
The ministry noted that measures are continuously being taken to identify and remove foreigners staying in Georgia illegally.
It should also be noted that last month, 107 foreigners — including Azerbaijani citizens — were deported from Georgia.
