Viktor Yuschenko offers V. Yanukovich to be speaker of parliament

“We cannot get real political stability unless the three main parties agree on how the coalition and the cabinet must be formed and what relations must be between the ruling coalition and the opposition,†Yushchenko said today in a televised address. “We cannot let talks last long.â€
Under an agreement drawn up by Timoshenko and Yushchenko before the election, she will become prime minister if the Orange coalition prevails.
Yushchenko said he wants the new government to redraft a 2008 budget, slow inflation and raise salaries. He is also seeking new laws to fight corruption and abolish lawmakers’ immunity and bonuses. The new cabinet must diversify Ukraine’s energy supply and “ensure energy security,†Yushchenko said. /APA/
