Victor Yushchenko meets with heads of security agencies

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko met with the heads of security agencies. Following this, chief of Security Service Valentin Nalivaychenko and Defense Minister Anatoly Gritsenko made statements supporting the president. Commenting on the parliamentâ€™s restoring the composition of the Central Election Commission in 2004 (during the reign of Leonid Kuchma) Nalivayenko said that they regard these efforts as unconstitutional acts. He stated that they are taking necessary measures for legal activity of local commissions to be set up in connection with extraordinary elections.
Defense Minister Gritsenko advised the Prime Minister Victor Yanukovich to prepare for extraordinary elections.
Chief of Central Election Commission Yaroslav Davidovich assured Viktor Yushchenko that the commission is ready to hold extraordinary elections. He informed Yushchenko of the necessary measures for organizing and holding extraordinary elections. /APA/
