Two ethnic Chechens were arrested. 26-yer-old Bahram Batumayev, who was planning to kill Batukayev was rendered harmless by Batukayev’s bodyguards and handed over to police. Russian passport was found near him. During the examination of his room in the hotel, police found scheme of Batukayev’s house. After the testimony, police arrested Batumayev’s accomplice – Uveys Ahmadov, who gave an arm to him.
Batukayev didn’t rule out that his murder was ordered by the Russian security services and said Chechen leader Ramzan Kadirov could organize the attempt on his life.
