EU simplifies visa regime with Turkey

Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli-APA. The European Parliament held a regular meeting of the Parliamentary Committee of Turkey-EU relations, APA reports.
Turkey’s European Affairs Minister Egemen Baghish attended at the meeting. Relations between Turkey and the EU, the prospects for Turkey’s accession to the EU, simplification of visa regime with Turkey, as well as recent exacerbation between the Republic of Cyprus and Turkey were discussed at the meting.
The EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs Cecilia Malmström noted that EU can simplify the visa regime with Turkey and such changes will cause great progress and procedures for to obtain long-term "multivisa" by Turkish students and businessmen will be more easy.
