Libyan migrants storm Libyan embassy building in Athens

BAku-APA. A group of Libyan migrants stormed the Libyan embassy building in Athens Monday afternoon, as the opposition forces announced seizure of much of Tripoli, capital of the war-torn northern African country, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Chanting slogans against Muammar Gaddafi, some 25 protestors entered the embassy building and lowered Libya’s flag, replacing it with the flag of the National Transitional Council.

The ambassador was not present at the time and no violent incidents were reported, as the protestors destroyed dozens of copies of Gaddafi’s "Green Book."

They continued a peaceful sit-in protest inside the embassy’s compound, demanding "justice and harsh punishment of Gaddafi and his clan."
