Baku – APA. Germany’s Foreign Ministry has announced that five Libyan diplomats are being expelled from the country for pressuring Libyan citizens living in Germany, APA reports quoting “The Voice of America”.

In a statement Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said Libya’s ambassador had been summoned and informed that the five diplomats have seven days to leave Germany.

Germany has long suspected that Libyan officials have spied on Libyan citizens living in Germany.

Germany has declined to take part in the NATO-led bombing campaign to enforce a no-fly zone in Libya designed to protect civilians under attack by President Moammar Gadhafi’s government forces.
