Baku – APA. Missing Swiss twin girls were last seen alive on a ferry to the island of Corsica, a French official said Wednesday, APA reports quoting “Reuters”.
A woman heard them crying in the next cabin and then saw them and could identify one of them, the official said.
Matthias Schepp, the 43-year-old father of the six-year-olds, Alessia and Livia, committed suicide Febuary 3 on a railway in Cerignola, Italy, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) west of Bari, a spokesman for the Swiss police said this week.
Jacques Dallest, a prosecutor in Marseilles, France, said it is possible that the girl’s father killed them and threw their bodies overboard.
"Another hypothesis is that he put them into the care of someone else. But, after 11 days this seems unlikely," Dallest said.
