The special weight of the tax burden in GDP in Azerbaijan is approximately 20-22%, this is low indicator compared to a number of countries, chairman of the Parliament's economic policy committee Ziyad Samadzadeh said at the 3rd Tax Forum entitled "Azerbaijan's tax system: Realities and prospects" in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
Ziyad Samadzadeh said in some countries this indicator reaches 40-50%. He added that this 20-22% level should be increased.
Ziyad Samadzadeh noted that development of industry, non-oil sector, individual industrial sector requires state support and concessional policy. Taking into account the role of tax in the formation of the state budget, these processes should be balanced and efficient.
