The United Kingdom welcomes he work of the BP consortium on the TAP pipeline as a further development of what is already a substantial British economic relationship with Azerbaijan, the UK State Minister for European Issues David Lidington said in the debates in the house of Commons.
According to him, the Government does everything they can to foster that relationship, while at the same time having open conversations with Azerbaijani counterparts about other issues that matter to them both, including security and human rights.
The minister also noted he talked to Irfan Siddiq, ambassador-designate to Azerbaijan, who will go out to Baku within a matter of days.
