Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Laboratory examining the radiation dose in products has opened in Azerbaijan, chairman of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents Ramiz Hasanov told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
He said the laboratory had been established jointly with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
"The laboratory has already been opened. It will work at full capacity from January," he said.
Hasanov said the laboratory for examining the genetically modified foods was ready long ago.
"There was no certain base of normative documents. These documents have already been worked out. The laboratory is operating, carrying out examinations. It mostly examines food products, plants and seeds," he said.
