According to him, it’s time to think about establishment of Dagestan’s own oil company: “Dagestan has many oil and gas fields. However, this factor does not influence social-welfare of the population”.
Abdulatipov noted that it’s needed to strengthen geological-exploratory works in Caspian Sea. He also tasked to the government to develop a wide plan on this issue.
Oil and gas extraction in Dagestan has been started since 1994 by subsidiary company of Russian Transneft “Dagneft”. In 2004, Transneft established “Dagneftqaz” subsidiary company. Now, Dagneft produces oil, Dagneftqaz – gas. Now, 40 fields are exploited in the country.
