Azerbaijan exports 500,000 – 1 mln tonnes of oil to oil refineries in Kralup city of Czech Republic, said the Vice-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Elshad Nasirov at the 2nd meeting of Azerbaijan-Czech Republic Intergovernmental commission on scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, today.

According to him, Azerbaijan meets 26% oil demand in Czech Republic. Azerbaijan exported 890,000 tonnes to Czech Republic in 2011, 500,000 tonnes in 2012 and 600,000 tonnes in 2013.

Nasirov added he regrets that the events in Ukraine caused suspension of construction on Odessa-Brody-Gdansk-Plotsk pipeline. Therefore, he stated that these events do not prevent other cooperation with Czech Republic.

He also said that Czech companies can export relevant assemblies for NEZ in Turkey, two fertilizer plants in Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as oil and chemical complexes to be built in Azerbaijan in 2017-2018.
