Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-August, 2014, Azerbaijan produced AZN 244.6 mln-machinery and equipment, transport facilities, cars and trailers.
State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that machinery and equipment production dropped 4.4%, cars and trailers rose 91.1%, transport facilities soared 3.5 times.
Azerbaijan produced 1,771 vehicles, up 5.4 times by contrast to a year earlier. Finished products stood at 311 units.
180 trucks were produced in the country during the same period, up 22.4% compared to a year earlier.
At the same time, tractor production doubled 874, plows rose 22.2% to 655.
