The Ministry says the conference will focus on economic development perspectives and tendencies of the region.
The conference will kick off on March 7 at the head office of London Stock Exchange and Aliyev will make speech. At the same time, presentations on strengthening and development of cooperation links will be held with the participation of Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbey Karabalin, Turkmen Energy Minister Murat Artikov, EU Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger.
The conference will bring together government representatives of Caspian countries, business circles, scientific circler and media. Organizers are London Stock Exchange, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Britain-Azerbaijan Business Council and British Asia House. It’s planned to discuss growth factors of the region, relations with Great Britain, development solution of economic issues, business environment in the region, energy and financial sector, IT, construction and other spheres, problems and opportunities at the conference. Moreover, TAP and TANAP also will be discussed.
UK member of Parliament Baroness Elizabeth Symons, head of the British Bankers Association Anthony Browne, head of Kazakhstan Presidential Administration KArim Massimov, EU Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger, member of Statoil's board of directors Lady Barbara Judge, Director-General and Chief Executive of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) John Chipman, BP Vice-President Peter Mather, ambassadors of several Caspian countries, officials of US Harvard University will make speeches at the conference.
