State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told APA-Economics that the price of AI-98 has been reduced from AZN1.5 to AZN1.03. The prices of other brands of gasoline remain unchanged.
The sale of AI-98 gasoline is realized in Azerbaijan only by SOCAR and Azpetrol.
SOCAR has confirmed the price changes, but Azpetrol refuted the reports.
AI-98 gasoline is not produced in Azerbaijan, it is imported. Therefore, the price of this brand of gasoline is not set by the Tariff Council.
The retail price for AI-95 gasoline has been set at AZN0.80 per liter, and for AI-92 gasoline at AZN0.70 per liter.
