Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. AZN2.8bn products were produced and services offered in Azerbaijan’s industry in January.
APA-Economics reports quoting the State Statistical Committee that 72.7% of industrial production accounted for mining sector, 3.6 million tonnes of oil, 1.6 billion cu m natural gas and other products were produced last month.
19.7% of the total production accounted for processing sector. Production increased in food industry, weaving, clothes, wooden materials, construction materials, metallurgy, ready metal products, equipment, vehicles. 7% of the industrial products accounted for production, distribution and supply of gas, energy and steam, 0.6% for water supply, waste treatment and processing.
Production in the non-oil sector increased by 5.6%, oil and gas sector dropped by 5.2% compared to January 2013.
