APA-Economics reports quoting website of Gazprom that as a part of his visit to Russia, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller.
They discussed energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia. The sides assessed the terms of delivery of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Russia. It was noted that the development of cooperation between Gazprom and SOCAR meets the strategic interests of both companies.
The volume of natural gas delivered from Azerbaijan to Russia this year is to make up 1.37 billion cu m. Gas delivery from Azerbaijan to Russia started on January 1, 2010, under the agreement signed in October, 2009. Last January SOCAR and Gazprom made annexes to the contract.
