Land plot allotted for construction of new petrochemical complex in Azerbaijan

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Work has started in the area, where oil and gas refinery and petrochemical complex will be constructed in Azerbaijan.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told APA-Economics that the Cabinet of Ministers gave a positive reply to the appeal to allot land plot for the construction of the complex by SOCAR. Under the relevant orders of Baku Mayor’s Office and Absheron district executive power, 4200ha land plot near Sengechal terminal has been allotted for this purpose.

Talks have been started with the relevant bodies to empty the territory. Taking into account the existence of communication lines belonging to Baku Telephone Communication Production Unit of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, water pipe belonging to Azersu OSC, gas pipe belonging to Azerigaz, high-voltage power lines belonging to Bakuelekrikshebeke OSC, designing measures are being taken together with the relevant bodies to empty the area.

After the measures are completed, construction companies will be involved and the lines will be transferred.
