 Azerbaijan sees decline in oil transportation via main pipelines

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-August, 2013, 29.0 mln tonnes of oil were transported via main pipelines in Azerbaijan, down 2.6% from previous year.

 

According to State Statistical Committee, ¾ of transportation was carried out via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export pipelines and 22.1 mln tonnes of oil were transported via this pipeline.

 

During this period, 2.1 mln tonnes of Turkmen oil were transported via BTC pipeline through Sangachal terminal. 

 

Moreover, 13.1 bcm of gas was transported during the same period up 3.14% from 2012.

 

21.9% or 2.9 bcm of gas transportation was carried out Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.
