Azerbaijan reveals its revenues from main oil pipelines

In January-March of this year, Azerbaijan's revenues from main oil pipelines amounted to AZN 263,920.2 thousand, which is 1.3% less in annual comparison, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

According to information, the mentioned indicator was at the level of AZN 267,400.4 thousand during the corresponding period of last year.

Thus, in January-March of this year, 9,664,000 tons of oil were transported through main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan, which is 1,72% more in annual comparison. 75.2% of the transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline (BTC) and during the reporting period, 7,267.2 thousand tons of oil were transferred through this pipeline, which is 0.3% more in annual comparison.

Recall that last year, revenues from main oil pipelines of Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 1,101,741.9 thousand, which is 11.1% less in annual comparison. In 2023, 39,753.2 thousand tons of oil were transported through main oil pipelines, which is 5.2% more in annual comparison. 75.9% of transportation was carried out through BTC, and 30,191.6 thousand tons of oil were transferred through this pipeline last year, which means an increase of 1.49% in annual comparison.
