The remains of the martyr Asgarov Ahliman, whose burial place and identity were determined after 32 years, were handed over to his family, APA reports.

The remains of the martyr Ahliman Asgarov were brought to his family house in the village of Mehrili, Shamkir district.

A farewell ceremony was held for the martyr.

Later, the remains of the martyr were buried in the village cemetery.

The funeral ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Shamkir District Executive Authority, law enforcement agencies, families of martyrs, veterans, and representatives of the district community.

Asgarov Ahliman was born in 1972 in Seyfali village (now Mehrili village) in the Shamkir district. In 1990, he was called up for regular military service. He went missing in the battles in the direction of Aghdara during the first Garabagh War.

In 1992, he was given the status of Martyr. It was discovered that martyr Ahliman Asgarov was buried as an unknown soldier in Martyrs' Alley in Baku, and his identity was determined.
