Azerbaijan decreases gold production in November

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan has decreased the volume of gold production twice during November, 2010.

State Statistical Committee says Azerbaijan has extracted 100 kg of gold in November. The volume of produced gold during November was up by 2.1 times compared with January, 2010.

In January-November, the extracted gold made 1.7 tons in Azerbaijan, up 8.9 times compared to a year ago.

At the same time, 1 023 kg of silver was extracted during the same period, up 1.3 times compared to a year ago.

Generally, Azerbaijan has produced 2.723 tons of precious metal ores in the period of report. As you see, 1.7 tons of this was gold, 1.023 tons was silver. Precious metal ores and concentrates have risen by 10.3 times in comparison with January-November, 2009.
