Oil transportation via main pipelines decreases in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan transported 41.7 mln tons of oil via main pipelines in January-October, 2010, down 1.7% compared with a year ago.

State Statistical Committee says, 76.8% of transportation was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. 32 mln tons of oil was transported via this pipeline during the same period, down 0.3% in comparison to a year ago. At the same time, BTC transported 860.4 thousand tons of Turkmen oil, from July, 2010.

Besides, Azerbaijan transported 14.5 bcm gases via main pipelines, during the same period of 2010, up 9.9% from year earlier. 30.2% of gas was transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline. This pipeline transported 4.4 bcm gases in 9 months of 2010, up 2.3% from year ago.
